Default 96 taurus
my car will start but cuts off after 2sec checked filter its fine,while i had line off i turn the key the pump will come on for a sec shoot gas out then stops......does this mean 4sure my pump is bad????????????

The fuel pump will only run for a couple of seconds if it does not see any rpm's from the engine. I would look at the IAC valve. Will the car run if you hold your foot on the gas?

no if i try hitting the gas it actualy will cut off quiker.

Have the fuel pressure checked. Also check the TPS and MAF sensor. Unplug the MAF and see if it runs.
