'97 taurus motor and transmission

Default '97 taurus motor and transmission
I have a duratec motor and transmission out of a '97 taurus and have been told it would swap out directly in a '96 or '97 taurus. My question is how difficult is it to put in a '98 or '99 taurus? Would there be additional parts required and is it much more of a job?
