Default 99 Taurus has some problems

Hey yall. New to the sight. Ive got a 99 Taurus that all of a sudden has been giving me issues. First. I drove it to work it ran fine. Got off work i tried starting. It cranked for awhile then started but died. A couple of times of it doing this it finally stayed running. I let it warm up for a few but when i put it in drive it died. After long cranking it started. Sat there for awhile longer. By this time the temp gauge was in the middle and it wasnt blowing any heat. Cold night. But i was able to get it to stay running so i got on the highway. It ran fine all the way home. Except for the heater was still blowing cold and my park brake light was on. The park brake was disengaged and the heater was on the heater setting. Thinking fuel pump and a clogged heater core. Not sure though. But i have no idea why the park brake light would come on and off while driving. Any help with these problems would be appreciated. Thanks guy.

You haven't responed back since Sept.so I am not sure you solved these issues yet.Sounds like several issues. You didn't mention which engine you have but I would check your fuel pressure first, You should have approx. 30-45 psi. Next, check the heater hoses. Both should be very warm, perhaps one being "slightly" cooler than the other. If one is hot and the other cool, your heater core likely is blocked. If both hoses are warm with no heat, look for a blend door problem or a faulty heat control valve (if equiped). I would believe your brake light is radomly coming on because your emergency brake could be sticking.
