Default Bulletin Number: SSM 51261 Brake Noise

I have a 2018 Limited with 30K miles. A few weeks ago I noticed this noise while coming to a stop. Its sounds like a popping/creaking noise. Not real loud but noticeable. Also, sometimes when I pull out of the garage slowly and gently apply the brakes, I hear like a metal to metal scraping noise. Then it goes away.
Just curious, if anyone knows what the TSB is all about and if this noise I described is the reason for it.

It is good that you are aware of a problem and try to learn what to do.

There is a minor problem with this approach, however, and that is until someone actually looks at your vehicle to determine what is going on , the bulletin may not apply and you could be driving a vehicle with an entirely different problem. Brake problems are something we don't try to solve over the net. Suggest you have your vehicle checked by a good shop and if the bulletin applies, great that helps. What do you think?

I agree to have a good shop look at your Limited. The bulletin mentions examing the rotors for defects and machining of the rotors. Keep in mind, this is a TSB (technical service bulletin) not a recall. That means it likely will lighten your wallot to resolve. But keep in mind suspension and motor mounts can create the same symptoms too, so it would be wise to have an inspection.
