Default Cam syncronizer

How hard is it to remove and install a cam syncronizer in a 2000 Taurus 3.0 2V? Is it like taking out a distributor, which must be aligned exactly the same way going in as it was coming out?

Sorry for late reply. Te syncronizer has to be properly aligned or the P0340 will continue to come back. There is a tool made for the alignment. If you mark it really good and reinstall new one carefully, you can do it without tool. Good luck.
