Default Changing Brakes on MIL's Taurus

My mother in law has asked me to change the brakes on her 2003 Taurus while we are back for Christmas. Can anyone tell me what I will need to remove the rotars? Does it require a special socket?

Thanks!

No special sockets required. The rotors slide right over the wheel studs. Oftentimes, he rotors will sieze to the hub, making them very hard to remove. Be sure to have a medium hammer, a can of wd-40 and some brake parts cleaner with you. Whatever wd-40 runs over the friction surface of the rotor will need to be cleaned.
