I have a 2002 Ford Taurus - OHV, and I am in the process of changing the front oil seal. I removed the crank pulley, and have the proper tool to remove the damper or Harmonic balancer, but trying to get that off involves not letting the crank shaft turn. How can I get the damper off without turning the crank. And, do I need to spray some lube around the outer edges of the harmonic balancer so it can loosen?
