About 2 months ago, My car started to act like it had no power at all... Going strait on interstate it went fine, Then we started to go up a little hill and the speed dropped to 30, The car is Revving Very high RPM's and winding down as we go, Speeds drop rapidly... We get out and check the Transmission Fluid, its low... We add some, then a week later have it changed... It dosent help the car, 2 months later, to date going threw town it goes fine.. Go up a hill, and its like you are straining the car too much! We kinda figured it was the Transmission, Took it to a Transmission shop, and they said it was the motor... What are possible causes to it acting this way? And how much will it cost...

First let me explain that there can be a number of items related to this....every thing from a Fuel Injector...to..a clogged Fuel Filter...

But I would be more incline to think it may be this:

Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)

The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is a small signal generator that is turned by a gear inside the transmission assembly. The Vehicle Speed Sensor produces 8 pulse per rotation which a stock computer assumes 8000 pulses per mile. The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is a variable reluctance sensor that generates a waveform with a frequency that is proportional to vehicle road speed. When the vehicle is moving slowly, the sensor produces a low frequency signal. As the vehicle speed increases, the sensor produces a higher frequency signal The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) supplies this signal to the components that require vehicle speed information including the speed control amplifier for cruise control equipped vehicles and computer. The computer uses the VSS signal for emmisions contol programs and speed limiters. The emmisions programing can cause a manual transmission vehicle to stall out while decelerating if no VSS is used


Now my question is why the Transmission shop didn't check on this???.....
Have you taken this to a Mechanic you can trust yet???

If this is Engine Related I would be looking for something Fuel Related.

Need year and engine size to help with diagnosis. This will determine which transmission you have. How is the pick up from a stop on flat road surfaces such as light-to-light?
