Ok......my friend has a 97 taurus sho. And a CEL was one coming back from the movies. It stays on for awhile and then flashes for about 2-3 minutes. Can anyone on here tell me a way on how to check the codes yourself? I know in my integra the way to do it, but every car is different. So is there anyway to do it? Ive searched the internet but havent found anything. Please help. TIA

With OBDII, you'll need a code reader or if available a scanner that plugs into the diagnostic link connector.. DTC code readers can be purchased reasonably cheap, or the other option is to have it read at one of the parts vendors like Autozone ect..
