Keyless entry code on 2000 Taurus

I just bought a used Taurus with no owner's manuel or key fob. Where can I find the code without paying the dealer's shop prices?

The module with the 5-digit keypad code should be located under the instrument cluster, above the accelerator pedal. This for a 1999, but should be close. They also used to put them on the trunk lid support.
