Default Leaking?

[>:] Hi, I saw a very small puddle (as small as a cup) on the parking lot under my car. The location is approximately under the co-driver's seat.

I used a white paper to absorb it. It is yellow. It does not smell like gas. (? It is due to aircondition? But water due to airconditioning should have a bigger size than this small puddle)

I just wondered whether it is oil leaking or something else bad. I can smell burned gas after I started my car. Is this normal? Do not blame me for being sensitive.

OH NO !!!![] you say it's YELLOW , What color is the coolant in your car -- Prestone is the only one I know that makes Yellow coolant ? , if its not that ??? , Theres no other YELLOW Fluid in a vechile ( you dont have a wondering doggie in the area do you ??? eewwww),, Are you saying you smell exhaust fumes with the car running ??,, Well you know the drill , wait till the engines cool an check the coolant level, to see if its low . Hopefully thats not the problem. An on the AC drip sometimes I have seen them discharge a;lot , an sometimes just a lil , depends on what cycle the system was going thru at the time you stopped the car ., Let us know what you find -- Oh how did the exam. go ???? I bet you took Honors huh ?

Hi, than you for your replies.

Last light, when I read your replies that there may be yellow coolant, I felt relaxed since I am definitely sure I have green coolant.

However, this morning, when I re-checked the parking lot. I saw the puddle became a small stream. The worst thing is that there was green color in this stream. I am now definitely sure that I have external coolant leaking.

However, since I picked my car from that mechanic replacing my headgasket, the car as been alright for the last two weeks. I wonder what is wrong with this external leaking?

Also when replacing the headgasket, the mechanic also replaced other parts including some hoses. These parts not including the headgasket cost me more than 400 bucks!!!

What should I talk with that mechanic? My guess is that the leaking coolant results from the lost coolant I have observed in the reservior. Up to now, the coolant level in the reservior has been stable just a little below the cold line. Thus, it must those lost coolant that are now leaking.

The location of this external leaking is just in the middle part of the front car. I do not know which parts are there?

As for the qualification examination, it is due next week.

You should have heater hoses back there , Take car back to the guy , probaly warranty , If these were the hoses he replaced ... Top off the Coolant before you leave. Hopefull this will be your last trip for repairs for awhile .. Just try an remember its better than a BIG car payment to the BANK each month
