like a banging noise when i make a right turn. passed inspection recently. what do you think.

 

Something is worn or loose or broken in the front end.[hr]Take it for an alignment they will be able to tell you exactly what is wrong.[hr]And they should not charge you if it's not alignable.

 

Model year? Miles?

I have a 2000 Taurus with 107K and I just had the tie rods replaced from similar symptoms. Can't comment on the tire wear yet, but the banging noise is gone. Actually, it was more of a rattle than a bang. My other car has a bang from loose shocks that lost their grommet. Those are two things you could check.
