Help!!!

Recently the front passenger seatbelt in my 01 Taurus has locked up. Last time I got it free but now it's locked up. Any ideas or is this something a dealer will have to fix? I don't see a way to get to the inside of the belt without taking the whole side panel off.

Inside where it retracts. I guess the automatic lock is screwed up because I pulled the belt all the way and then let it go.

 

You will need to replace the entire retractor to fix it. You can do it yourself if you can work on cars.
