Default Power Antennas

Have a 95 taurus with a power amtenna. Winter time it froze up but now trhe motor is grinding away either to raise the antenna or lower it when the enginge is shut down What to do to get it to work properly

It's easier to replace it. there are replacment kits for them. These use a sprocket driven plastic tape/strip to raise and lower the antenna. The sprocket probably chewed the slots open in the plastic tape/strip. I had the same issue on my 94 Sable. Was easier just to put a new unit in.
