I am trying to install a remote starter alarm on my 1997 Ford Taurus 3.0L. I must be missing something because when I try to start it with the remote the engine turns over a few times and never starts. What am I doing wrong other than taking it to a qualified installer?

I can't believe I haven't responded to this post before. I haven't tried to re-install the alarm system for my ford taurus 97 gl. the system I am trying to install is a cheaping one, i think, HT800D alarm/remote starter. The shops want $350 to install a remote starter alarm. With that price I can install it myself and learn something at the same time.
