Default Taurus 100,000 mile tune up

Hi, I'm new here. I tried a search on the subject but couldn't find anything.

I have a 2000 Taurus that has just gone past the 100,000 mile mark. I see in the owners manual that it is time to replace the spark plugs and PCV valve. The three spark plugs on the side of the engine that faces the front of the car are easy to get to, but the other three that are closest to the firewall aren't even visible. I assume that the intake manifold has to be removed to access the 3 on the firewall side. My question is that right? If so, what do you have to do to remove the manifold and successfully reinstall it? Where is the PCV valve?

I'd like to do this work on my own, but I haven't done this type of work on this new of a car so I feel comfortable with a wrench, but I don't want to pull the engine myself. Any input would be appreciated.

pcv valve should be in the back valve cover and the plugs can be removed with a little patience so you dont have to remove intake usually when its 3.8l like in the windstar easier on a hoist from underneath.
