My sister has an '07 Taurus, w/ 118,xxx miles (yup, pretty high). Tranny went out on her way home w/o warning, no slipping or any warning signs. I haven't taken it out yet, so I'm not sure of the exact problem, but I'll post as soon as I know. I happen to have a '96 Taurus with a shot head gasket, can I take the '96 tranny and bolt it up to her '07? Will the technology (sensors, computer) be compatible w/ 11 years difference? If anyone has any insight or recommendations, it would help a lot. Thanks!
