Default transmission leak

OK, now that we have straightened out the cooling system, how do we fix the transmission leak?

It looks to be driver side (US) near the front of the trans. There appears to be a large gasket or seal...you mean they would still try to use vertical split cases? I though that went away with the old VW's and Subarus.

But seriously. Anyone have any experience with this particular problem?

Thanks again

RC

Yeah, I am curious if anyone has dealt with this issue...is it worth the trouble? Obviosly, fluid leaks are a pain and need to be dealt with, but I wonder if the 'fix' "works". And how big of a job is it?

Oh, btw, this is a '97 Taurus Gl with 3.0 liter.
