Default type of fuel

hi.i am not used to all this,but here goe's.i live in england (u.k)
i have a ford granada2.0i ghia 1988single o.h.c running on l.r.p petrol
but it is getting harder to find it.l.r.p is97 octane,unleaded 95 octane
can i run on unleaded without changing the valves? or what can i do?
i am not sure what to do for the best.any help welcome.

Read your owners manual, run whatever it says to run. Check your gas door...usually on the inside of it it tells you what the manufacturer says you need to run.

The higher the octane, the better quality the gas is (usualy), unless they run it through dirty underwear I think your safe running between 87-95 octane
