Default WIndshield Wipers stop in strange places

I have a 1995 Ford Taurus. Wipersoperate but when I turn them off, they do not go down to their normal stored position. They just stop either where they currently are positioned or they stop in the straight up position! What's wrong??

It's either the wiper control module, or possibly the wiper park switch integral to the wiper motor..

99% of ther time it is the park circuit in the wiper motor. Usually is easier and faster to swap the entire motor than terying to repair the circuit.
