Default 93 t-bird hesitation rough idle

have a 93 t-bird, just replaced head gaskets on and has a rough idle, a hesitation.

Timing has been set a 10*, vacuum lines are accounted for. No check engine light. I'm leaning toward mass air flow sensor?? If I unplug the mass air flow sensor, it doesnt run any different. Not sure where to go from here?

shawngrace,

When was the last time you replaced your ignition wires? How about your spark plugs? Or distributor assembly? The hesitation and rough idle that you describe sound indicative of fouled ignition components so I would inspect the wires, plugs and distributors for any tall-tale signs of wear.

Worn ignition components typically won't throw any codes either so that's another reason why I'm leaning towards this scenario
