94 thunderbird fouled plugs
My 94 thunderbird, the driverside 4 plugs keep fouling out, it is only running on the 4 passengerside cylinders. I have changed the plugs twice, the fuel filter and both ignition coil packs. Any other suggestions????

RE: 94 thunderbird fouled plugs
Exactly how are they fouling - with oil (oil fouling) or are the spark plug tips blowing clean off? If they're blowing clean off - have a good mechanic check them for too hot spark and if so - regap that sides plugswider for a temporary fix. Oil fouling to one whole side of the engine could mean engine internal damage or fracture unless the spark plugs aren't firing at all (then it's just residue and not the fault of the spark plugs or engine internals). More info. might help. Try replacing your air filter - maybe they're experiencing extra fuel from a starved air intake (less air- same amount offuel) which could cause incomplete firing. What color are the tips of the messed up spark plugs when removed? (assuming they have tips) Red= ash Black=oil White=overheated Burnt off=superheated/detonated/exploded from heat Overall I wouldn't blame the spark plugs (unless they're not stock types - if you didn't have platinum plugs from new for example - don't bother using them and go back to stock type)
