Default 96 T-bird w/P0301 code

This 96 Thunderbird has the 4.6 V-8 and about 120K on the odometer. Ran fine before I messed things up, just a little rough at idle, like plugs or wires might need replacing. I wanted to pull a plug and see what it looked like.
OK, so I know I screwed up the #1 plug wire when I pulled it off and found the metal connector still attached to the spark plug. At the time, had no money to replace it. After a day or so I noticed the engine running rough and then the CEL came on. I pulled the codes and had a P0301, and a P1443. The last one I'm going on memeroy as I no longer have that code. Any way, what I did was to replace the plug wires, then the next day, I replaced the spark plugs. Plugs used were Motorcraft SP-432's. Plug wires from Autozone are the middle of the road price wise, 8mm OEM style.
After replacing these items, I cleared the codes and drove the car. My rough idle has deminished, but is still present, both at idle and while driving. The CEL came back on and I have the P0301 code listed again. Actually, before the CEL came on, it was flashing. Then upon next start up, it was on solid, no more flashing. What might be alternate items to check that would cause this #1 cyl misfire? Was there some thing I should have done after changing the parts perhaps? Kinda pissin me off since I assured the wife that the plugs and wires would fix the problem. Now I'm eating crow, along with having to listen to her B.S. Any suggesions gentlemen??

Default Replaced injector

I pulled the plugs to the injectors off one at a time. Found the only one that didn't make a difference in the idle when pulled off was #1. Great! That's the cylinder I have the misfire on. Replaced the injector. Should have used a noid lite because I still have my misfire. So, what would cause there to be no electric to the plug on the injector?
