Disconnecting the battery will clear the KAM and cancel the CEL, but may return/reset if a fault exists....

I believe '95 is an OBD 2 car. OBD 2 cars can be reset with some code readers (Harbor Freight Tools sells one such tool). Plus you get the added plus of being able to test the car yourself.
