thunderbird belt
hey sup all, my ac compressor siezed, the pully is stuck, i just wanna get rid of the whole compressor, just wanna know if it is possible using a smaller belt, if so, if someone knows the belt size thankyou, its a 95 thunderbird v6, the compressor is on the top
I've been there. As far as I can see it, there is no way to get around having a compressor there. I have a '93 SC that siezed the compressor that took the clutch/pulley assembly with it. You should have no problem getting one from the junk yard. I on the other hand had a nightmare locating one since the SC has a wider pulley than the regular 3.8 or 5.0. If you don't want to get involved with making the AC work, just leave the clutch connector off and use the compressor as an idler.
