Default 02 Grand Marq EGR help

Hello all, I was having stalling problems so I checked the codes and it was showing EGR insufficient and Excessive EGR. So I changed the EGR. No more stalling, but it is rough cold and the codes have been reset with insufficient and excessive EGR. Any thoughts. Thanks

check all those little hoses connected to the EGR valve and system, Clean them out, then check your EGR positioning sensor and your throtle positioning sensor, make sure they are clean or replace. I had the same problem with my ranger I replaced the EGR valve and the light still came on then I replaced the other 2 sensors and it works wonderfuly

I don't know how many miles you have on it, but I've seen a lot of build-up inside the trottle body of higher mileage Crown Vic's (same powertrain) to the point that the EGR port was completely clogged.

Some spray fuel injector cleaner may provide a short term fix, but taking it apart for a good cleaning is better. Please don't wash the TP Sensor.

josser got it right, I don't remember the sensor name but its got 2 hose going to the EGR tube, and it gets clagged after some many miles.
