1987 Ford Sierra XR6 3l V6

Hello all

This is my first post here but I'm wanting to buy a Ford Sierra xr6 and I would like to know were to find the engine number is for the v6 so I can make sure that it is the 3l V6.

I believe that the only V6 used for all XR6 models was the 3.0L V-6 Essex engine.
