Default 2004 Ford Freestar question about electric system

Hi,

I have a 2004 Freestar. The door ajar sensor is screwed up. I tried the WD-40 trick, and my mechanic says the actual doors have no issues, its the electronic system.

Anyone know how to/Which breaker/wire controls the door ajar light and bonging so that I can replace it?

Thanks, any advice appreciated.

I've had this 3-4 times over the years. It's always been the rear sliding doors (one or the other). I have the information system, so it told me which door the culprit was. Do you have the information system that tells you which door it is? If not, I suspect it may be one of the finger contacts on your sliding doors. This is what I do. Clean all of the multiple contact buttons on the door pillars with a degreaser, then lightly scuff them with a scotch-brite pad. Do the same with the contact fingers on the sliding doors. Then apply a thin coating of dielectrical grease to the contact buttons and fingers (Petroleum jelly will also work).
