2008 F450 Transmission problems ford wont repair
anyone else have an issue with a f450 making a clunking noise when you stop or shift into park and as you accelerate? i had the tranny pump and transfer case repaired at 17000 miles due to leaks and when i got the truck back it clunks- ford refuses to fix it because they say that it is normal to clunk. i am so mad that i spend 55,000.00 on a truck that i dont feel safe hauling horses to shows in for fear that something is going to break. PLEASE think twice before buying a ford truck since they are not willing to address an issue and make a repair. im sure if it wasnt still under warranty and i had to pay out of my own pocket they would repair it. I took it to a tranny specialist and 3 of them said it is not "normal" and the rear end needs rebuilt. i know all makes and models can have problems but ford is not willing to to whats right for the customers.

i was told by ford not the dealer that they will not attempt to repair that if i wanted it fixed i would have to pay for the transmission shop to fix it. this is under warranty and the problem is because the pump and transfer case went out on it but since they consider some clunks to be "normal" they wont even consider the fact that this truck did not do the clunk until after they fixed the other issues. the customer service rep for ford company was rude and not willing to even consider that i may be correct.

Report ford
You should get quotes from those tranny shops, fill out a written complaint with your attorney generals office, and report them for failure to correctly fix your problem. Where does it say anything in your ford service manual about noises being ok?
