2012 Escape Both front brakes sticking

Can the ABS Pump cause both front brakes to stay engaged? When you press the brake pedal the brakes stay engaged and slowly release.

What brake work, if any, has recently been done?

How slowly do they release? Does the pedal return back promptly? If it is long enough to crack open a bleeder. If the caliper releases immediately after opening a bleeder, the problem exists upstream from the caliper. Look at brake hoses, master cylinder or ABS unit. If the caliper does not release, it is binding internally or the slides are rusted up. Hopefully, it hangs up long enough for you to diagnose easily..
