I want to install my Motorcraft 2bbl carb to my 4bbl intake. I bought a Mr. Gasket adapter plate to make the swap but when I installed the adapter plate to the carb, I noticed the base of the carb was slightly larger than the adapter. It overhangs the front of the adapter about a 1/4 inch or so. (Major air leak.) Is there an adapter plate that has a slightly larger surface for my Motorcraft 2bbl to mount to? Just wondering if anyone has made this swap.
