351W rear main seal replacement

Default 351W rear main seal replacement
For a 1983 Ford e-350 van, I've got a rear main seal leak. Can the oil pan be taken off to complete the seal replacement--with out having to move the transmission?

Default Van??
Hello

I'm not sure. I raised my 302 in my Bronco to replace the oil pan seal.
I also replaced the Oil pump. I did not remove from Truck. Nor removed the trany.
A 2wd van should be easier. No front axle.
