I am looking at buying a 1964 f100 2 wheel drive short box, it has a 292 with a 3speed on the floor. What engines would bolt up to the 3 speed and would that be a good way to go, or should I switch out the transmission also...I want a manual transmission. Where would I find engine mounts that would take a different motor, or would the 292 mounts work? I would like to go big engine wise. How much work would this type of swap be? Thanks in advance.
