Default 92 SHO fouling plugs/Guy wants to trade??

Hello !!! A guy my son knows wants to trade his 92 SHO with 155,000 miles on it even up for our 94 Mercury cougar 4.6l 166,000 miles. The cars are about the same, body wise, But I am a little worried because he says the SHO fouls plugs on a regular basis. Just drove the car and it runs fine now, Says he has 3 weeks on current set, driving about 80 miles a day. But he had a new set of plugs sitting on the center console so I am thinking he is not telling the truth. Just trying to get some opinions????

Cougar= Needs/ Idle air control, rear brakes, front outer tie rods, Trans overdrive switch broke, Stutters when going into overdrive. (been doing this for a year now though)

SHO=Needs 2 new tires asap, Alignment/rear suspension/struts? and of course the fact that it is fouling plugs........

Thanks for...Any and all advice..

For the SHO question.

Tires: No biggy, normal wear and tear item.

Alignment: Normal maintenence item.

Rear suspension/struts: Normal wear and tear item. Kind of a pain if doing yourself at home, but doable.

Plugs fouling:
1. Could be bad/Dirty fuel injector(s).
2. Could be a bad Oxygen sensor since OBDI systems don't always set a code when an O2 sensor fails.
3. Restricted/dirty intake.
4. Ignition timing.
4. Running spark plugs with the wrong heat range.
