Need to know if able to retieve codes without scanner. Thanks

95/96 and newer vehicles OBDII equipped/compliant can only be read with a diagnostic scan tool or a code reader.. A code reader can be had fairly cheap usually around 30-40.00.. Or, most of the aftermarket parts vendors will read or check for codes at no cost..

Wal-Mart sells a universal OBD2 code reader for under $10 now.
