Default 98 Ford F150 4.6L Window Problem

Im new to the site and have a F150 driver side window (electric) that will not work. When I press the up/down button I can hear a clicking in the #4 relay located in the fuse box. I replaced that but it was not the issue. I took apart up/down switch on door and cleaned contacts and that appears to be working fine. Anyone have a suggesstion what it could be? Thanks

Steve

Take the door panel off and see if the motor is getting current when the switch is engaged. If it is, the window motor is bad.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the advice, did what you said and the window motor was bad. Two labor hours later and 50 dollars for a motor I was in good shape. However had to drill out the pop rivets to get the old motor off, could not reuse them so I used 1/4in bolts and nuts in their place.....worked great.
