I had no luck at dealer they claim 46 degrees is fine. When ambient temp. is above 78 degrees inside cab temp. rises to about 50 degrees.

 

dont sound right i have 2003 ranger when temp is 80 to 90 outside .air cond will cool down to 39 to 42 degrees in the middle dash vent. [thermeter is correct has been checked ]

 

also ist my 98 ranger cooled the same as the 2003. hope you luck with ford try a different dealer.

 

Hate to say this but by the BOOK,, If inside Temp is 20 degrees cooler then out side Ambeint Temp. Then the System is working to spec .... Now my question does the vechile get cooler inside as you travel down the road,, an then warm's up when your sitting at say a long red lite ???,, has the truck had any AC work done on it in the pass ??
