Aerostar code exceeding 150 at 35mph

Aerostar code exceeding 150 at 35mph
94 Aerostar engine shutting down at 35mph. When I scan it the computer is showing code 297 for exceeding 150mph. Cruise control not engaged when it shuts down and rpms are standard for the speed. Any thoughts?
