Default Brand New Ford Fushion Broken

I purchased a brand new Ford Fusion. It has 4,000 miles and the engine light comes on. The dealership said it was the catalytic converter. That still has not fixed it. They say it needs a 0-2 sensor since the the engine light is on and the car is jerking. They will have the car now for a week working on it. I am stressed. Should I want to keep this broken car? Brand new? I am a slow driver and have done nothing wrong.

Why not, it sounds like the 02 sensor just went bad. They will replace it and you will be fine.

Also, if your driving habits incluce many short distant trips where the engine doesn't get a chance to warm up, the excess fuel being dumped into the exhaust due to the engine not warming up all the way will cause the converter to run hot. This will in turn cause the converter to start a melt down causing it to plug up. My daughter had this problem on her 94 Sable.
