Default Built in backup camera issue with my 2016 t-150 transit

I bought it used and when I test drove it the built in backup camera worked just fine. When I got the van it was not activating when I backed up. I took it to a Ford dealership to see if they could fix it or at least figure out what is wrong. From what they told me the onboard computer doesn’t know that there’s a built in backup camera so there was no way for them to troubleshoot it. I looked at the fuses underneath the dash and the fuse is in place and doesn’t appear to be damaged. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this or at least troubleshoot it?

Post pictures of the backup camera the vehicle has and specify what happens when you put it the vehicle in reverse.
Also if you want to provide your vin I can run it and see if there's anything weird.

It’s still in the shop for other repairs so I can’t take a picture of it at the moment. The way it worked when I test drove it was the screen in the middle of the dash would change to the camera view once the vehicle was put in reverse. Now when I backup it makes the reverse beeping noise as well as the reverse lights activating but nothing happens or changes on the screen in the middle of the dash like it did when I test drove it. Here’s the vin: 1FTYE2YG1GKA96754. I’ll provide a picture of the backup camera once I get it back from the shop in a day or 2.

Was the camera built i to the vehicle ir an aftermarket one like those that attach to the license plate?
Ford reverse cameras though provide a very clear picture compaired to other manufacturers do not have a great reputation for lasting long.
If its a factory ford system what usually happens when the camera dies is the screen changes when put in reverse cause it knows there should be a camera input, depending on the fault sometimes the screen is just black sometimes it will say "see dealer for service" or something along those lines.
Does the screen have any other issues when using the radio?

As far as I can tell it was built in to the vehicle. No the screen doesn’t have any other issues the radio and the rest of the functions appear to work fine. Nothing changes on the screen when it gets put into reverse no black screen or see dealer for service message comes up.

Here’s the picture of the camera. I finally got the vehicle back from the shop.
