Is anyone else having an issue with disabling the Belt Minder feature on a 2011 Fiesta? I have done it on past Ford models, but for some reason it won't work on my new Fiesta. The owner's manual states:
1. Parking brake set; gearshift in P; ignition off; seatbelts unbuckled.
2. Turn on ignition.
3. Wait until seat belt light goes off.
4. Buckle/unbuckle seat belt three times at moderate speed within 30 seconds.
5. Set belt light will turn back on for 3 seconds.
6. Within 7 seconds, buckle/unbuckle seat belt.

I can get through the first four steps, but the seat belt light never turns back on. I have done it a couple of times, and have waited up to five minutes for it to turn back on.

Are the manual instructions inaccurate? Or is there some other trick to it that isn't documented?
