Default Drive Belt Replacement Guide Please? I Need Help!

Hi, my drive belt in my '96 Mondeo 1980cc automatic is worn and i'm trying to replace it. Problem is i can't figure out how to get the tension off the belt for me to replace it! Any help on this would be much appreciated (plus diagrams if possible as i don't have the owner's guide).

Thanks guys.

Before replacing it draw a diagram of how the new one should go on (a diagram of the old one). Then look for a pulley on an arm (this is called the tension pulley). In the middle of the pulley (not the arm) is a bolt. Turn the bolt with a socket on a breaker bar if possible (I believe like to tighten) and it should release the tension until you let go.

Thanks for that, i'll take a look at it. Just one question "like to tighten"? What do you mean by that, do i want to tighten the bolt or loosen it to relieve the tension?

Turn it like you're tightening it and the whole pulley assembly swivels and takes off the tension. You have to keep ahold though or the spring in it just pushes it back.
