Default Econoline E250

Any suggestion as to why the van would suddenly quit going down the road. Replaced distributor and moduler.

What year, engine?

Did you verify a 'no spark' condition prior to the ignition parts?

More info would be nice. Does vehicle start right back up? Timing Chain comes to mind right off., Could be loss of fuel?

The year is l996 E250. There was no spark and we changed out the modular and the distributor because the teeth on the distributor had been broke off. We installed another distributor and the van ran about ten miles and shut off again. Again the distributor's teeth are broke off.
Any suggestions

What engine?

Either the cam is 'walking' causing damage, or the 'now' bad teeth on the cam are damaging the new distributor set.. A bad/dragging oil pump 'can' damage the distributor drive gear, but will 'usually' shear the distributor drive gear pin if severe.. Have you cranked the engine over to physically check the cam/distributor drive teeth?

If you are shearing teeth off the distributor drive then you almost have to have a bad camshaft, or failing/locking up oil pump IMO
