Default Engine running rough

The engine in question is an 1982 F-100 5.9L I-6, rebuilt around 75,xxx miles ago. It has New plugs, new wires, new dizzy cap, rebuilt carb(good to specs that came with rebuild kit). A few weeks ago the truck had been sitting for a while, its a farm truck, when it was started it ran extremly rough, would die without gas, smoking a blueish smoke. New spark plugs were put in and no improvement was made, new wires were then put in and it ran alot better for a little while then become much worse again. The other parts were then replaced and i rebuilt the carb, and it began to run alot better, barely idles, but it still smokes a slightly bluish smoke and smells faintly of gas. So it appears unburnt gas is being expelled. A compression test showed all cyl around 125ish psi.
I would appreciate greatly anyones help in trying to diagnose this problem.
sorry for the long post
thanks in advance

Default RE: Engine running rough

well I am thinking youre carb isnt set up properly, I am thinking youre choke needs to be adjusted, Check the timing as well, Maybe the fuel mixture is off too.

Good Luck
