Hi guys< I'm new here and looking for help. Have a '98 explorer and the back hatch wont open. PDL opens all other doors, but I can't hear anything happening at back. Is there a way to manually open the hatch? Once I'm inside I think I can figure out how to tear apart and fix, but I've never done a hatch w/ PDL's before. By the way, gate wont open either( real problem).

Doesn't make sense that even if the lock actuator quit working that you couldn't manual unlock the liftgate with the key.. Unless the lock rod came off or unclipped..I can send you the manual info for removing the trim panel, latches/locks if you need them..
