i have a 77 ford with a 400. it starts and run but as soon as i put it under load it seems to bog out and loses all power i tried to rebuild the carb thinking that was it but it doesnt seem to help just wondering where to go from here

Try disconnecting the EGR valve hose, plug the hose end and see if the stumble is still there..
