Followup on Windstar won't start
I found the problem was not the battery or the starter, but the chip in the key. Had to get two keys made just to get the Anti Theft reset and was told I need to get a third key in case this problem happens again So they can reset the Anti Theft again. I bought the van used and the dealer only gave me one key, I asked for a second key and they said they didn't have one and couldn't make one, I guess because it wasn't a Ford Dealership. The cost for all of this was $130.62. The keys cost $22.00 a piece and $27.50 to program them, service call was $50.00 and tax $9.12. A lot less than I thought and very thankful that was all that was wrong. Hope this helps solve someone elses problem before they get Frustrated.
