94-95: four Ford plants made 3.8 liter engines with the bore's up to .04 inches too big- upon discovery they extended the warrany period and offered re designed head gaskets to their techs- many techs did not flush out radiator etc when doing this head repair however- this may be common knowledge here- but I didnt find it in any search so I posted it just in case- these bulletins can be seen on Chilton's data base Im guessing Mitchell On Demand and others too
