Hi to all. I am looking for some help identifying the rear end on my Trike. I bought this Trike last year and I saw that the rear seal was leaking. Before riding it this year, I decided to change the seal. I am having trouble identifying what rear is in my Trike. I know it is a Ford, stamped on the pumpkin, but there is no tag. After some research, I came to the conclusion that it was out of a Ford Expedition. I ordered a Flange, Seal, and Nut off ebay. Wrong one, the one I received looks the same, but is bigger than the one I removed. You know what happens when you ASSUME. Anyway, I am taking my Flange, and Seal to the Ford Dealer tomorrow, but if someone could help me find out what my rear came out of I would greatly appreciate it.

Just wanted to let everyone know I took my flange and picture of the rear to my local Ford Dealer. The parts manager, and what mechanics I talked to agree with me that the rear is an 8.8, but still can't figure out what it came out of. The parts manager called a guy who knows alot about Ford Rears, he is taking my flange to him to see if he can tell me what it came out of so I can replace the flange and seal. Will let all know how I make out.

Over a week now and still nothing from Ford. You would think some old school Ford mechanic would be able to look at this rear and tell me what it may have come out of. I am going to call the place I got the new-wrong flange from. Maybe they can help me out.

 

Just an update, I called the place I got the flange from. Great People. WWW.APDTY.com They said if I get the gear ratio they may be able to help me ID the flange and rear. Going to pull the cover today. I am going to call Ford today, still haven't heard anything from them.
