I'm bringing an old Ford Sapphire 2.00 GLE to life again. First thing to go i decided was the irritating electronic box. Any advice will do...

So far i've heard... i could put some side drafts on and change the distributor, coil. if it is possible what should i get? if i remove the box will i have to change anything else besides the carb and distrubutor? looking forward to your ideas.
